Everyone desires to live a life completely saturated with perfection based on the world, as we believe it should be. However, errors and mistakes are likely to happen in our lives as a result of decisions we make. The reality is the world and its inhabitants are imperfect. Only God is sovereign and personifies the essence of complete perfection.
Many of us become depressed or negative when things don’t go our way. According to the Bible we should have a different reaction when things don’t work out the way we want them to. This article will help us understand why we need to handle trials and suffering from a Biblical perspective.
In ancient times, blindness was a problem, much more common than we would ordinarily think. Eye disease had few cures, and unsanitary conditions (especially in water) increased the risks of blindness considerably. Blindness was so common Jesus used it metaphorically to represent spiritual darkness.
Have you heard the song by The Fray, “How to Save a Life?” Maybe you’ve heard it on Gray’s Anatomy, on a local mix radio station, or maybe even on a Christian radio station. I’ve wondered how this song can be significant to such a wide array of listeners, both secular and Christian. For me there is something that stirs when I listen to the words.
